The pedestrian hybrid beacon (PHB) is one of several countermeasures available to improve safety for pedestrians at uncontrolled crossing locations. This webinar presented detailed information about the PHB and showcased examples of two cities (Austin, Texas, and Columbus, Ohio) are implementing the PHB to improve pedestrian safety. Following their presentations, panelists responded to questions from the audience.
This webinar supported FHWA's Safe Transportation for Every Pedestrian (STEP) program which promotes countermeasures at uncontrolled pedestrian crossings.
